- Revise farm subsidies to promote sustainable farming practices and to benefit individual farmers over agricultural monopolies.

- Provide low-interest loans to vertical farming operations in and near large population centers
- Define new standards for the humane treatment of animals raised for human consumption (both meat and dairy), and enforce those standards
- Fund research and provide low-interest loans for investments in sustainable management of livestock manures and waste
Do not patent life
- Rescind patents on genetic material used in seed stock, and do not issue further such patents
- Allow farmers to collect and use seeds generated by plants they have raised

Food production accounts for
- nearly one-third of greenhouse gas emissions,
- 80% of land-use change, and
- 70% of water use globally.
It is one of the most important things to evolve if we are going to address climate change, pollution of our land, air and water, and the health of our soil and people.
